We will be going over Josh Bowmar’s Bicep Isolation Exercise, how to set it up, what you will need and how it is done correctly. First, you will need an adjustable bench and a cable machine. The bench will need to be adjusted up just a little, so that you are slightly elevated. Then you will need a short bar attachment with the cable fixed at the bottom of the machine. Make sure it is set at a comfortable and challenging weight. Once you have that set up, you are ready to start!

 

Start by lying on your stomach on the bench, with your chest at the very top of the bench. The cable machine will be in front of you. Grab that cable. All you need to do is bicep curls. This makes sure your primary muscle is your bicep during this whole exercise because it is isolating the rest of your body. It really targets your biceps and you will feel the burn! Keep your elbows forward during the movement to keep targeting those biceps.

 

One thing to keep in mind: you can switch the cable attachments to challenge your biceps as well. For example: You can try a lot of different attachments using the same setup, like a single handle, angled curl bar, or even a rope. This will challenge your biceps even more. Try it out with a couple different attachments and see what you like best!
